[PROJ] Game Feed

An update

It’s been nearly a year since I last touched this project. It’s the top idea always stumbling around in the back of my head with a ton of potential in it. Here is the original pitch from a few years back:

Game Feed

A Tik-Tok style infinite feed of hyper casual game shorts.

Open app, play a game for 1-5 minutes, score, swipe to next game.

Repeat.

Get indie developers from itch and new grounds to be the content creators. They have their profile pages, traffic to them is the incentive for them.

Get big studios to release trailers and sneak peaks. This is our monetisation angle. Think 2 levels of monument valley, 1 minute of altos adventure.

Games are personalised to you (big focus). There will be moods (relax, compete, etc). There will be streaks. There will be trending game challenges. We will release an SDK for users to create their own games.

We become the next Roblox. We get into a lawsuit with Roblox. Get funding from Minecraft and beat Roblox and establish strategic partnership with Microsoft.

But I either couldn’t find the time or I was “limited by the technologies of my time that I knew” to get it executed.

I made a couple different prototypes

Now I have redone it. Still the same games but a better experience now.

I envisioned it for the prototype like so:

pixel-games-interface

It turned out slightly differently, but thematically the same; you should now go check it out at https://gamefeed.streamlit.app

Please open it on the desktop.

Yes, I did indeed make a gaming website on Streamlit. I’m kinda masochistic like that.

Please like, share and subscribe?
